I’m a self-taught, Canadian artist, originally from Brant County, Ontario.
My artwork is an expression of my values & my curiosity about human nature, often a statement about the social change I hope to see in the world. Flora, fauna, and the exploration of the human relationship with the environment have always been close to my heart and tend to be the catalysts for my work. Most often, I find myself inspired by an experience or a thought very suddenly and feel compelled to bring that idea to life in my painting.
Being neurodivergent, I often felt the way I expressed myself, my ideas and my interests didn’t quite fit the mold. Like I was constantly straddling worlds and didn’t quite fit into any neat category. Art was one of the ways I found the confidence to own my place in the world, unapologetically, and to embrace the fact that as humans we all fall into many categories - and that’s something amazing.
Aside from art, I always found comfort in nature, animals, reading and music. A big part of my work is creating custom commissions; however, I also host art workshops for private and community events. My future project aspirations would be to work on larger scale murals and album artwork.
